Melanie Schmieding, CTFA

Schmieding joined Baird in 2021 from Abbott Downing, a division of Wells Fargo that provides customized wealth management solutions to ultra-high-net-worth clients, including multigenerational families, family offices, foundations and endowments. There she managed the firm’s largest and most complex individual relationships, leading a team of specialists that served both internal and external clients.

As a Director of Baird Family Wealth, Schmieding leads Baird’s family wealth offering in partnership with Jaleigh White, CPA, Director, who has been instrumental in its development. Baird Family Wealth supports Baird financial advisor teams that focus their practices on more complex clients, such as private business owners and families with legacy wealth, expanding Baird’s existing expertise and client offerings in this area.
